Mr. Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury

Mr. Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury is a seasoned business leader with over 35 years of experience in entrepreneurship, business management, and corporate development across the power, real estate, education, media, and other sectors. In 2007, in collaboration with Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) and local entrepreneurs, he founded Baraka Power Limited and subsequently played a pivotal role in expanding the Group into several major power projects, including Baraka Patenga Power Limited, Karnaphuli Power Limited, and Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited. Under his leadership, Baraka Patenga Power Limited achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first power plant in Bangladesh to secure World Bank foreign currency funding under the IPFF facility. After gaining valuable international business experience in the United Kingdom, Mr. Chowdhury returned to Bangladesh and further diversified his business interests through major ventures in real estate and education, including Royal City and Royal Educare Limited. He remains actively involved in various professional, social, and community organizations and currently serves as the Managing Director of Baraka Patenga Power Limited. Through his strategic vision, diversified experience, and strong commitment to sustainable business growth, Mr. Chowdhury continues to make a significant contribution to the development of the Baraka Group and its associated enterprises.
